Smoke aromas extend on the palate to join hints of toasted hazelnut, which surrounds yellow apple and quince flavors, all underscored by sea salt detail in this white. This shows great harmony overall, with good intensity of flavors and acidity, leaving a salty impression on the finish. Drink now through 2027.

Ripe pear and honeydew melon generously inform the nose as well as the ingratiatingly polished, caressing palate. Happily, crunchy evocations of cucumber and fresh green bean along with an abundance of green herbal and stony nuances guarantee a finish of invigoration as well as refreshment, while a sweet-saline savor reminiscent of raw scallop activates the salivary glands. (An amusing but annoying technicality that typifies the latest development in Austrian labeling: The expression 'Kamptaler Terrassen,' with which this bottling has long been labeled, was decreed an inadmissible geographical designation.
