Voici un vin tout en fraîcheur avec des arômes de fleurs printanières et une touche d’amande. La bouche possède beaucoup de classe avec une texture pleine et tendue. Bien que le vin soit déjà délicieux, il aura besoin d’un peu de temps en bouteille avant d’exprimer toute sa complexité.

Decanter (DCT) : 93 Points (2021)

Made from Cornish Point and Elms fruit. A distant touch of toasted hazelnut is gentle on the nose. Lemon and notes of polenta appear later. The palate seems lithe despite its alcoholic heft of 14%, there seems to be a wonderful translucency that speaks of brilliant sunshine and brisk coolness. Texturally this reveals a light touch and masterful use of oak that allows lemon above all to shine through. Just 5% of oak was new - how beautiful.

A creamy and polished wine with green apples and lime with stone aromas and flavors. Medium body. Pretty balance of fruit and acidity. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Bob Campbell MW (BC) : 95 Points (2016)

Typically tight, pure chardonnay with citrus, floral and crushed oyster shell characters. A fruit-focused wine, with subtle oak and appealing nutty yeast lees influence. Poised and ethereal. Accessible now but should develop well.

James Suckling (JS) : 93 Points (2016)

This has been nicely pinned back into an elegant and fresh style that focuses on bright stone fruits and lemon citrus. The palate has fleshy, pure fruit appeal with a nice spicy build of oak into the finish.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 92 Points (2016)

Supple and elegant in texture, but shows intensity on the palate, with spice, butterscotch and toast notes, along with peach and melon flavors at the core. Finds harmony and length on the juicy finish. Drink now through 2022. (MW, Web Only-2018)

The warm, dry season in Bannockburn encouraged this wine toward ripe flavors of white peach, crushed rock and citrus blossoms. You also might find notes of white summer corn, melon and nasturtium. Nez très aromatique et très accessible sur des notes de cerise, de fraise avec des nuances florales et épicées. Ce vin est sans doute le plus ‘’généreux’’ des pinots noirs de Felton Road mais il possède cependant une belle complexité. C’est réellement un Pinot Noir de classe internationale !

Comme toujours sur ce vignoble ce vin offre un nez d’herbes aromatiques avec des nuances de rose et de violette sur un support de fruits noirs. La bouche est suave avec une texture à la fois ferme et sensuelle. C’est un vin qui possède une belle puissance sans jamais tomber dans la lourdeur.

Il s’exprimera pleinement avec le temps.
