The "Q" in Zuccardi Q stands for "quality," indicating the winery's commitment to producing premium wines.
Region and Vineyards: This Malbec is sourced from two vineyards located in the high-altitude regions of Altamira and Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. The unique climate and elevation of the region make it an ideal place for growing Malbec grapes. As a result, the wines produced here are characterized by intense fruit flavors and vibrant acidity.
Winemaking Process: The vintage of 2020 was quite warm; however, the winemaking team at Zuccardi was able to create a wine that balances ripe fruit flavors with fresh acidity. The wine undergoes fermentation and aging processes in both stainless steel and oak barrels, which adds complexity to the wine while preserving its natural grape characteristics.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: The wine has a deep purple color with bluish hues.
- Aroma: On the nose, it offers intense aromas of red fruits and flowers, such as roses and violets, along with herbal notes.
- Palate: The palate is soft and silky with great structure and acidity, showcasing flavors of ripe dark fruits, cake spice, and herbal notes. The wine is concentrated and well-balanced.
Wine Pairing Ideas: This Malbec pairs wonderfully with tomato sauces, meaty casseroles, hamburgers, steak and kidney pie, and grilled lamb cutlets
