Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal 2019

Made from a blend of 42% Sangiovese, 17% Nebbiolo, 15% Pinot Noir, 12% Shiraz, 7% Mourvèdre and 7% Barbera, the 2018 Hannibal begins with a solid ruby core with dusty red fruit tones. Aromas of red cherry skin, dark plum and blackberry essence sway with a notion of turned earth. Medium-bodied, the wine displays a balanced structure across the mid-palate with food-friendly acidity and buttressing tannins before ending with a spicy, lingering conclusion. Just under 25,000 bottles were produced.
