Another classic example of a typical Bouchard Finlayson Galpin Peak offering. Firm and resonating with anticipation, its flavour profile is slowly unfolding where a little patience will offer a generous palate of fruits of the forest flavours and development of complex cherry and dark berry tones. Polished and lingering, it will benefit from ageing.

The 2017 Galpin Peak Pinot Noir is ruby in color and opens with aromas of sour cherry, just-ripe raspberry and cranberry along with a soft stemminess and note of just-opened pink flowers. While the Galpin Peak Pinot does deliver a softer style, the stemminess lingers longer than the fruit, stealing away some of the natural beauty of this medium-bodied wine. The oak could be better integrated and seems to stand apart from the overall expression. This wine leaves me wanting more.
