Often described as one of Australia’s unsung heroes, Grenache is naturally lighter in colour than Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon but continually provides us with wonderful big fruit flavours. Yalumba is extremely fortunate to have access to some of the oldest Grenache vineyards in the Barossa –with fruit for this wine sourced from vines planted between 1898 and 1973.

The “Art Series” represents Leeuwin’s most opulent & ageworthy wines from each vintage. The Art Series Shiraz labels exclusively feature the artworks of Australia’s Aboriginal artists, including artworks from a number of Aboriginal artists based in the remote and spectacular Western Australia Kimberley region.

The 2013 carries the extra degree of opulence that you see in the great years. Beautifully perfumed thanks to the co-fermented Viognier, it is ethereal, elegant and alluring. Its silky tannins bring together black fruits, dried herbs, rose buds and black pepper characters. It has the structure to age very well.

Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding wine estate, was established by Dr Thomas Brendan Cullity in 1967. Among his first plantings were Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines, from which he produced the estate’s first red wine. The Tom Cullity descends from these original vines and represents the pinnacle of Vasse Felix.
