Wine Spectator (WS) : 90 Points (2019)
Generous and crisp, this white offers flavors of ripe yellow apple, pear and lemon curd that shows a lingering note of thyme. The intensity gains momentum on the finish, for a harmonious effect.

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 90 Points (2019)
This is an outgoing, fruit forward Sauvignon from one of Australia’s most well-known duos. It bursts with ripe peach, lime blossom and honey. Crunchy acidity balances a silky texture, and the long limey finish makes taking another sip an easy endeavor. Knock back beside a sizzling seafood barbecue.

James Halliday (JH) : 94 Points (2018)
If it's not broken, don't fix it. The innumerable buyers (or restaurant customers) know what they are getting with this consistently excellent example of sauvignon blanc. It's pitched between green pea/grass on the one hand, tropical on the other. It scores for its overall balance and juicy length.

Decanter (DCT) : 92 Points (2017)
From high elevation vineyards, where yields are kept down and the grapes are hand-picked. This features crisply-scented lemon and bell pepper aromas with a hint of apricot. It's really well balanced in the mouth, the succulent but saline citrus fruit backed up by richer hints of stone fruit and tangerine, alongside a layer of wafting herbs. Very elegant.

Robert Parker (RP) : 91 Points (2017)
Gooseberries, fig and melon notes show the ripe side of the 2017 Sauvignon Blanc. No, it doesn't come across as herbal or green, yet this crisp white remains light to medium-bodied, lively and fresh. It's a delightful combination that more Sauvignon Blancs should aspire to.

Jancis Robinson (JR) : 16.5 Points (2017)
Lightly grassy and green-fruited on the nose but definitely not pungent. More grapefruit than passion fruit and without the sweaty note of excessive thiols that you get on some NZ SBs. Bone dry, fresh and with a fine grip that balances the green-fruited freshness and shows how well the lees effect supports the fruit. (JH)

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 90 Points (2015)
Bright silver-straw color. Vibrant, mineral-laced lemon/lime and quince aromas are complemented by emerging notes of pineapple and mango. Emphatically fruity, focused and dry, showing a firm stony underpinning to its vibrant citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Powerful yet lithe and almost weightless, this Sauvignon Blanc finishes with excellent thrust and an exotic lingering note of passion fruit.

A Chardonnay with much finesse that reflects the conditions of the vintage and the character of a unique vineyard site. The 2014 is true to style, typified by good concentration of flavour which comes as a result of the season's lower yields.
