This wine takes its name from the location of the vineyard from which the grapes come: Douro Superior (Upper Douro). The grapes used to make this wine come from our property Quinta da Cabreira where we have 114 hectares of recently planted vines.  

As the name suggests, this wine is made from old vines with an average age of 70 years, including as many as 30 different grape varieties.

Since its first release in 1998, Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa has been regarded as one of the greatest Portuguese wines and acclaimed by national and international specialized press.

Pêra-Manca is the label the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation reserves for its most exceptional wines. Red wines are produced from Trincadeira and Aragonez grape varieties.
