Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2013 Sacred Sites Johnno’s Shiraz comes from the Johnno’s Shiraz vineyard planted in 1908 and reveals a wonderful intensity of red currant, red cherry compote and mulberry fruit aromas with hints of smoky bacon, pepper, vanilla and baking bread. Medium-bodied and tautly constructed, it packs in a lot of complex red fruit and savory flavors, and even at this very youthful stage has plenty of ripe tannins and acid backbone to support. It finishes long. 100 cases were produced. Drink it 2017 to 2027+.
