Earning a listing for one of your wines at a Michelin-starred restaurant is a proud moment – so what must it be like to be featured by every single three Michelin-starred restaurant in France (that is 27 in total)? It’s an accolade that reflects the historic excellence and purist vision of F. E. Trimbach, unquestionably one of the great names of Alsace and a family business that can trace its origins all the way back to 1626. Thirteen generations later, the Trimbachs of 2014… Read more

Luminous straw. Delicate spicy nuances and sweet apple and pear aromas on the inviting nose. Then flavors similar to the aromas, and above-average acidity for a wine made with so much Auxerrois (this is a blend of 80% Auxerrois and 20% Pinot Blanc). Unlike Trimbach’s 2017 Sylvaner, this is made for the most part with bought grapes (though Pierre Trimbach told me he would like to limit the bought grapes to 50% of the total). No matter – it’s an outstanding Auxerrois wine. (ID) (1/2019)

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 90 Points (2017)
Faint notes of green and yellow pear on the nose mix with a quiet tang of lemon. The palate is dry, slender and gentle, with juicy fruit and great purity. (AK) (3/2019)

Wine Spectator (WS) : 89 Points (2012)
Well-meshed and mouthwatering, with a smoky underpinning and subtle notes of lemon curd, poached apricot, beeswax and blanched almond. Drink now through 2019.

Robert Parker (RP) : 87 Points (2011)
An infectiously juicy and surprisingly bright if mildly flavored Trimbach 2011 Pinot Blanc caresses the palate and leaves behind lovely traces of ripe apple tinged with nut oils and garlanded with green herbs and flowers. Still lovely in mid-2014 and having picked up some mouthwatering salinity, this should probably still be enjoyed by spring, 2015.

Very attractive already, quite powerful nose. Full bodied wine with intensity, depth and beautiful mineral flavour. Rich, ripe acidity in the palate. Great personality and finesse. Full of charm already after nearly 4 years of bottle ageing.

Full, balanced and very aromatic. Depending on the vintage, the principal aromas of Gewurztraminer are lychee, rose, ginger and geranium. The Trimbach Gewurztraminer is dry and shows classic restraint, without any loss of the Gewurztraminer's exotic and spicy feature.

One whiff of the Gewurztraminer Vendange Tardive and your sense of smell is instantly pervaded with ham hock, celery root, brown spices, mint and honey. Primary juices include rose petals and spice and a dusty botrytis character to follow. This is a lusciously sweet and complex wine.
