Taylor’s is one of the most highly respected producers of aged tawny Port wines.  20 Year Old Tawny Port is fully matured in seasoned oak casks each holding about 630 litres of wine.  Here, over many years of ageing, the Port wine gradually takes on its characteristic amber ‘tawny’ colour, slowly developing the complex mellow flavours and the smooth luscious palate which are the hallmarks of this style of port.

Taylor’s blends its magnificent 20 year old tawny Ports from its extensive reserves of old cask aged Ports matured in the firm’s cool and tranquil cellars (known as  ‘lodges’) in Oporto on Portugal’s Atlantic coast.

In the 20 Year Old tawny, the fruit has mellowed further than in the 10 Year Old, and the spicy, nutty aromas of ageing are more powerful and intense.

The most popular 20 Year Old Aged Tawny Port in the United States of America.

These Port wines are bottled when ready to drink and do not require any further ageing in bottle.

Taylor's is renowned as one of the most innovative Port houses, having pioneered the Late Bottled Vintage style, and also holds one of the largest reserves of cask-aged wines used to create their range of tawny Ports. Taylor's Vintage Ports are the cornerstone of the company's success and the main source of its unique and inimitable house style. Taylor's benefits from extensive ownership of grade A vineyard sites throughout the Douro, including Quinta de Vargellas, one of the… Read more

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 94 Points (NV)
This gorgeous Port is at the perfect stage where there are still freshness and hints of orange and dried fruit, while the wood aging is concentrating the wine into its essence.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 93 Points (NV)
Rich, with a spicy nose, this offers flavors of fig, dried apricot, mango and ginger. Complex and elegant, delivering concentrated crème brûlée and tropical fruit notes that linger on the vibrant and buttery finish. Drink now.

Robert Parker (RP) : 93 Points (NV)
The NV 20 Year Old Tawny Port was bottled in 2015 and comes in at 111 grams per liter of residual sugar. On first taste, this was simply Taylor: big, concentrated and serious. It was all that and a bag of chips, but over a couple of day it also demonstrated far more elegance. It seemed arguably better balanced than the 10 year old Tawny this issue. Simply filling the mouth on first taste, this shows fine complexity for its age and it does everything else rather brilliantly. Succulent and inviting, it finishes with waves of concentrated flavors. The fruit remains lifted and and it has a bright, transparent feel. It is hard to resist, often seeming like a bit of an overachiever. It's not the best tawny Taylor's submitted this issue, but it might be the best intersection of quality and price. These all come with a bar top cork, i.e., you can hold them indefinitely if you wish, barring cork problems, but they are not really intended to be aged. They, like pretty much all Tawnies, are considered ready to drink on release.

Wines & Spirits (W&S) : 92 Points (NV)
A classical balance of the fresh and the mature, this 20-Year-Old offers warm honey, apple and almond notes on a supple texture with just a touch of grip. The flavors are rich while the structure holds them tight.

Decanter (DCT) : 90 Points (NV)
Restrained pecan pie and roasted fruit nose introduces a rich and full palate with lush redcurrant and honeyed nut flavours.

Mullineux Syrah 2017
Mullineux Syrah 2017
Our aim with our Syrah is to give true and complete expression to the Shale & Schist and Granite terroirs in which the vines grow. Approximately half the grapes are whole-bunch fermented and all fermentation is with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 11 months in French oak, 15% new. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined.
