Much loved for it’s freshness, mouth watering acidity and upfront fruit. Rustenberg makes a slightly fuller, richer style of Sauvignon Blanc without relying on the influence of oak.

The intrinsic Sauvignon Blanc characteristics of green pepper, asparagus and gooseberry are to be found in this wine, with underlying tones of pineapple and passion fruit,  sustained on a fresh, crispy and well-balanced palate with prodigious length.

Robert Parker (RP) : 89 Points (2015)
The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, which comes from the estate fruit from vines at 580 meters above sea level, has a very fragrant, tropical-tinged bouquet with touches of apricot and guava infusing the citrus fruit. You could compare this to a fine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The palate has a crisp entry with white peach and passion fruit notes, a fine line of acidity and a lively, lightly spice finish. This is worth seeking out.

Jancis Robinson (JR) : 16.5 Points (2015)
Tasted Oct 2015 - Cool, stony and fresh. Completely dry, restrained and suitable for the table as well as on its own. Subtle but persistent with the Sauvignon Blanc character definite but not excessively pungent. (JH)

Wine Spectator (WS) : 87 Points (2015)
Pure, with a focused beam of lime, lemon and white asparagus notes racing through the floral-edged finish. Drink now. 1,400 cases made.

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 90 Points (2014)
June '15 by Stephen Tanzer - Very pale straw-yellow. Lemon zest, anise and a hint of white peach on the nose. Enticing stone fruit flavors show a pliant texture and excellent intensity. Rustenberg did not have a single Sauvignon Blanc vine 11 years ago but now produces 100,000. Simon Barlow described it as the estate's fastest-growing wine.-- Stephen Tanzer
