A regular on the shortlist of "German Winemaker of the Year" and actual winner in 1999, Helmut’s work is helping the Nahe to take a share of the plaudits showered on the more internationally renowned German wine regions of the Mosel and the Rheingau. His cool, calm demeanour is a stark contrast to the demonic fervour with which he tends his vineyards. Only the best hand-picked fruit will do, in order to produce wines that are honest reflections of the Riesling grape and the… Read more

Robert Parker (RP) : 92 Points (2018)
The 2018 Norheimer Dellchen Riesling trocken –GG– is brilliant, pure and fresh on the nose, with super ripe and dried white-fruit aromas on the nose. Round, lush and elegant on the palate, this is a rich yet elegant, pure and crystalline Riesling that tastes somewhat sweetish on the finish right now. Tasted three days after bottling in July 2019.

James Suckling (JS) : 96 Points (2016)
Very refined peach, rose hip and wild berry on the nose. Stunning concentration, elegance and finesse make this one of the stars of the vintage on the Nahe. The supermineral finish almost literally takes your breath away. Drink now or hold.

Citrus peel, white flowers, stone fruit and gooseberry dominate the graceful aromatic arc, delicate and bright fruit nuances on the palate, dry, fresh and pure with more yellow fruit and great acidity to match leading to a mineral and slightly spicy finish.

A Chardonnay with much finesse that reflects the conditions of the vintage and the character of a unique vineyard site. The 2014 is true to style, typified by good concentration of flavour which comes as a result of the season's lower yields.

Pure ruby-red color. The nose is fruity with cherry and strawberry notes. Some tertiary hints of leather. On the palate, ripened red fruits, succulent, intriguing and long-lasting. Tannins are delicate and well integrated. The aftertaste expresses a lively freshness with notes of dark red fruits, wet ground and wood.
