Region and Vineyards
The Dog Point Vineyard is situated in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough, a region celebrated for its ideal grape-growing conditions.
The vineyard comprises 26-year-old vines on average, with some plantings dating back to 1984. The soils are primarily silty-clay loams with some gravelly patches, contributing to the wine's complexity and minerality.
Winemaking
The fruit underwent whole bunch pressing followed by cold settling before fermentation. Notably, 60% of the wine was fermented using indigenous yeasts, enhancing its unique character. The wine was aged for four months in stainless steel tanks and was bottled without fining, preserving its purity and freshness.

- Aroma: The nose is pure and bright with aromas of grapefruit and white peach. There are subtle smoky and gravelly tones that add complexity beyond the immediate fruit profile.
