Pale yellow in the glass with a steely glare and a very expressive bouquet that displays fruity notes of apple, wild and passion fruit.

Remarkable floral aromas and intense herbal notes combine with a spicy character with attractive notes of ginger, typical of this variety.

The mouth of this lively and seductive wine has excellent acidity that enhances its freshness.

A smooth wine, easy to drink and great aromatic persistence thanks to its remarkable citrus character.

The winery has been named after the "terraces" situated at different altitudes upon which the vines are grown. Within these unique microclimates, Terrazas de los Andes presents a range of wines that offer great fruit concentration and varietal character. Cheval des Andes is a balanced and elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot with important ageing potential as a collector´s wine. Read more

Tim Atkin (TA) : 92 Points (2017)
In common with many of the leading Mendoza wineries, Terrazas sources its Torrontés grapes from Cafayate. The result is very stylish indeed, with floral aromas, citrus and lime flavours and just a hint of skin-derived tannin. 2018-20. Alcohol: 13.5%

James Suckling (JS) : 91 Points (2017)
This is a energetic torrontes with sliced lime and mineral character. Medium-to-full body, bright acidity and a tangy finish. Bright and focused.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 88 Points (2016)
Offers scents of orange blossom, with rich, well-crafted flavors of peach and ripe apple that are flush with aromatic details. Cream and sage honey accents show on the finish. Drink now. 7,000 cases made.

Robert Parker (RP) : 88 Points (2014)
As many others, the Mendoza-based Terrazas de los Andes source their Torront?s from Cafayate in Salta, northern Argentina because they are in search of a straight, fresh, varietal and elegant wine. The grapes for the 2014 Torront?s grow at 1,800 meters altitude in a mixture of new and old pergola (parral) vineyards. It fermented at low temperature with two months in contact with the lees after which it was bottled to keep the freshness and fruit expression. There are notes of roses, lychees and spices that are fresh and varietal. The palate is not shy, it's round with marked flavors and very good acidity that provides freshness and length plus a faint pleasant bitterness toward the finish.

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 89 Points (2013)
Pale, bright yellow. Estery, pungently perfumed aromas of citrus oil, orange blossom, passion fruit, chlorophyll and mint. Supple, juicy and dry in the mouth; not quite as complex as the nose suggests but brisk, saline and fresh, conveying an umami texture to the flavors of citrus fruit, fresh herbs and white flowers. Finishes very dry but not hard, with sneaky length.
