Dominio de Es, established by French vigneron Bertrand Sourdais, is located in the remote and historic landscape of Soria within the Ribera del Duero region. Sourdais discovered this area in the 2000s while working as the technical director at Dominio de Atauta. The region is notable for its ancient, pre-phylloxera vines, which are integral to the winery's unique offerings.

The estate encompasses 25 small plots covering a total of 3.5 hectares, with notable vineyards including La Diva and La Mata. These plots are characterized by diverse soil compositions, ranging from sandy limestone to pure clay. The grapes grown here are predominantly Tempranillo, often blended with Albillo to enhance complexity.

Dominio de Es is dedicated to organic and biodynamic farming practices, ensuring that the vineyards produce high-quality, expressive fruit. The winemaking process involves meticulous hand-harvesting, careful selection of grapes, and fermentation in small, open-top vats. The wines are aged in French oak barrels, allowing them to develop a refined structure and nuanced flavors.

Bertrand Sourdais also manages Domaine de Pallus in his native Chinon, France. His dual expertise in French and Spanish winemaking brings a unique perspective to his projects in Ribera del Duero, including the highly acclaimed Bodegas Antídoto.
