Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 92 Points (2019)
The 2019 Chardonnay is a very pretty wine. Apricot, tangerine peel, white flowers, mint and a touch of new oak are all finely knit in this attractive, mid-weight Chardonnay from vineyards in Carneros, southern Napa Valley and Howell Mountain. Partially blocked malolactic fermentation keeps the flavors vibrant in this attractive, appealing Chardonnay from Freemark Abbey. Drinking window: 2020 - 2027

Robert Parker (RP) : 91 Points (2019)
The 2019 Chardonnay underwent 50% malolactic and spent nine months in oak barrels, 40% new. It opens with expressive poached pears and apple pie scents plus nuances of powdered ginger, honey toast and mandarin peel. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating spiced-apple flavors with a racy line and great length.

James Suckling (JS) : 92 Points (2018)
A fresh, creamy white with sliced-apple and pear character, as well as some pie-crust and praline aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Flavorful, yet tame on the palate. Drink or hold.

Jeb Dunnuck (JD) : 92 Points (2018)
These wines are now made by Kristy Melton. The 2018 Chardonnay now goes partially through malolactic fermentation, aged in 45% new French oak, and it's a richer yet beautifully balanced Chardonnay. Notes of lemon oil, orange blossom, and honeysuckle, with just touch of toastiness, are followed by a wine that’s beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, and layered on the palate, with loads to love.

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 92 Points (2018)
This is a tight, structured and youthful white wine, which develops nuance and complexity in the glass. Textured with a presence of toasted oak, it is rich and layered, opulently appealing in pear, stone fruit and vanilla.
