Tococo isn’t just the name of this 100% Syrah wine’s single vineyard, but also of a unique bird that inhabits the Elqui Valley. Quick and unusually terrestrial, the Tococo is one of few species which prefers to run than to fly, which is why it can be seen darting from vineyard to vineyard all through Alcohuaz.

Le Petit Clos is a different interpretation of the Clos Apalta Terroir, using the mastery of blending that is the heart of the winemaking philosophy from the Domaines Bournet - Lapostolle.  Winter 2014 was considered as rainy in Apalta, with higher temperature compared to the previous season, moving from a minimum of 4,5C to 14.7 C maximum.  Spring 2014 had moderate temerapture allowing for good bud break and blooming.  

The wine displays lifted aromas of fresh red fruit, white pepper and wild flowers. Elegant on the palate, with savoury tannins, refreshing acidity and a mineral quality on the finish.
