The rare elegance of this wine is the result of an unusual fusion of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. After nine months barrel ageing, Chardonnay is blended with Sauvignon Blanc fresh from ageing in stainless steel.

The result is a complex wine with a distinct personality and keen mineral notes that can be savoured even after many years in the bottle.

A blend of three-fourths Chardonnay and one-fourth Sauvignon Blanc, the Barone Ricasoli 2018 Torricella is fresh and buoyant with stone fruit, pear, Golden Delicious apple and toasted almond. This is a bright and accessible white wine from a predominately red wine corner of Tuscany. However, the limestone-rich soils of the region create good conditions for this carefully fragrant white wine. Enjoy it with a panzanella, a typically Tuscan bread salad soaked in tomato, onions and herbs.
