Velvety and mineral, voluptuous and concentrated, juice and fiber. A union of the extremes that is only possible in our most pure Mediterranean land, in the abrupt vineyards of Priorat located on the verge of the ancient foot paths once travelled by muleteers.

Camins del Priorat links these contrasts in a purple dress of poetic aromas and tastes of sensual humility. Made from grapes that hail from small vineyard blocks within the five most emblematic municipalities of the comarca; it is charming, caressing and dream-like (thrilling?).

Hints of stewed herbs to the nicely baked cherries, strawberries and some hibiscus and dark spices. Fruity, medium-bodied on the palate with fine-grained tannins and a fresh, medium-long finish.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 92 Points (2021)

This bright red bursts with flavor, with fragrant marjoram, violet and milled white pepper accenting crisp cherry and ripe boysenberry fruit. Features fine tannins that are a sleek frame for the expressive profile, with a spicy mineral streak driving the finish. Garnacha, Samsó, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

The more modern and different 2021 Camins del Priorat is a little more balsamic with some herbal notes and some dusty tannins. It's powerful with 14.5% alcohol and has good balance. This fermented 100% destemmed in concrete and stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in oak barrels and vats for six months.

Shimmering violet. Vibrant blackberry, cherry and floral aromas are complemented by hints of licorice and succulent herbs. Concentrated bitter cherry and dark berry preserve flavors stretch out and turn livelier with air. Gently gripping tannins give shape and focus to a long, spicy finish that shows very good clarity and repeating florality. (JR) (3/2021)
