James Suckling (JS) : 96 Points (2019)
This is a punchy and chiseled Coddington with attractive peach and citrus-fruit aromas, as well as hazelnuts and white stones. The palate has a very focused, pure shape with a central spine of intense peach flavor, crisp phenolics and clenching acidity to close. Real drive here. (11/2020)

Bob Campbell MW (BC) : 95 Points (2019)
Gently aromatic and quite concentrated chardonnay with peach, melon, citrus and a hint of oyster-shell and mineral character supported by deliciously fruity acidity that helps drive a lengthy finish. There is also a toast, brioche influence adding extra complexity (7/2020)

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 95 Points (2019)
From a low-yielding single vineyard, this white opens with smoke and flinty mineral notes weaving between concentrated yet fresh fruit. The palate is lighter than expected thanks to a line of crystalline acidity and a filigree texture. It has exceptional structure and neatly integrated oak that lets the layers of flavor shine. Drink now through 2028 at least. (9/2021)

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 93 Points (2019)
This Chardonnay is expansive, filling the mouth with its subtle flavors yet retaining a sense of lightness. Its girth is wrapped in a firm belt of acidity that holds everything into a streamlined whole. Chardonnay is a non-aromatic variety and the fine aromas of nectarine and oatmeal combine with a barrel-derived smoky note on the drawn-out finish. (11/2020)

Robert Parker (RP) : 93 Points (2019)
A bit tighter and more linear than the Estate Chardonnay, the 2019 Coddington Chardonnay is still medium to full-bodied, but it leans more toward the pineapple-citrus side of the spectrum. Delicate hints of toasted nuts appear on the nose, while the palate offers pineapple, yellow plum and lime notes, particularly on the long, refreshing finish. (6/2021)

Wine Spectator (WS) : 92 Points (2017)
Vibrant and expressive, featuring peppery white floral notes that mingle with pear and citrus flavors. Makrut lime and fresh ginger accents linger on the sleek, refreshing finish. Drink now through 2029.
