Bob Campbell MW (BC) : 95 Points (2019)
Ripe, almost luscious sauvignon blanc with tropical fruit, guava, melon, lime and red capsicum flavours supported by an ethereal texture. A delicious wine, skilfully made from grapes harvested in a very good vintage. (2/2020)

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 91 Points (2019)
This wine shows oodles of bright citrus, melon, stone fruit, green tea, tomato leaf and white spice characters. The laser-sharp acidity provides a beautiful balance to the slippery, creamy texture, keeping the fruit bright and tangy.

James Suckling (JS) : 92 Points (2018)
This youthful sauvignon has attractive lime-leaf and fresh-herb aromas with passion fruit and a succulent, fine and fresh lime finish. Immediate enjoyment here. Drink now.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 92 Points (2018)
A vibrant mix of pineapple, mango and citrus flavors on a smooth, medium body, with plenty of vibrant acidity. Appealing details of orange zest and green apple skin add complexity. Drink now. 5,000 cases imported.

Decanter (DCT) : 91 Points (2018)
The warmest vintage on record in Marlborough, 2018 also saw plenty of rain, including three inches during harvest. This Sauvignon is perhaps the most 'typical' wine in the range, using mostly cultured yeasts and stainless steel for a fresh, zesty Sauvignon with lime and nettle scents. The subtly textured palate is crisp and full of guava, blackcurrant leaf and a touch of passion fruit. There's a nice stony quality on the finish, with good length. (JB) (1/2019)

Robert Parker (RP) : 91 Points (2018)
The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc shows restrained aromas of fig and melon on the nose, followed by ripe notes of nectarine on the palate. It's medium to full-bodied and richly textured, with a long, silky finish. It may age a bit better than some other classic Marlborough Sauvignons, but don't hold it beyond about 2021.

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 90 Points (2017)
The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc has a fresh gooseberry and Granny Smith apple bouquet with a hint of undergrowth in the background. The well-balanced palate displays a crisp line of acidity and a touch of bitter lemon that counters what feels like a comparatively rich finish for a young Sauvignon Blanc. This is just packed with flavour. (NM) (11/2018)

Wines & Spirits (W&S) : 93 Points (2016)
Kevin Judd, the founding winemaker at Cloudy Bay, makes this wine under his own label from vineyards in the Southern Valleys and Wairau Plain, as well as one on a terrace in the upper Awatere Valley. It’s a citrusy sauvignon in 2016, girded by flinty notes that seem to tighten around all the rich lime flavors. Cool, laser-like acidity keeps it tense and focused; for any roast fish.

Jancis Robinson (JR) : 17 Points (2016)
On first opening there was a slight hint of smoke but this soon blew away to reveal intense and pure fruit. Not pungent but deep and ripe - citrus and green fruits, including some candied green fig. Equally intense and ripe-fruited on the palate, managing to be both mouth-filling, almost a little viscous, and intensely fresh at the same time. Although there is fruit sweetness on the palate, the finish tastes pretty dry with a clean stony finish. Very long citrus aftertaste. Generous and all very primary at the moment. No rush to drink this. 17/20 points (JH) (11/2016)
