Robert Parker (RP) : 94 Points (2015)
The 2015 Barolo Bussia is characterized by a dusty mineral note of crushed seashell or slate that cuts through the entirety of this wine. That dusty, almost salty characteristic is accompanied by wild berry, wild rose, dark spice and licorice. Both the tannins and the acidity are very well integrated here, resulting in a fine, silky texture on the finish.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 94 Points (2013)
Bright cherry, currant and orange zest flavors are the hallmarks of this elegant red. Linear, tense and persistent through the lingering, minerally and woodsy finish. This is just starting to hit its stride now, but has the energy for a long life ahead.

James Suckling (JS) : 93 Points (2013)
Lots of dried mushroom, berry and citrus character. Hints of cedar and rose petal. Medium to full body, tangy acidity and fruit. Flavorful finish. Needs a little time to open. Excellent potential.

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 90 Points (2013)
Woodland berry, tilled soil, dried rose, new leather and aromatic herb aromas come together in this fragrant, racy red. It's rather light in body and ethereal for Barolo, already accessible, offering flavors of tart sour cherry, clove and chopped dill. Firm acidity and polished tannins provide lithe support.

Decanter (DCT) : 91 Points (2010)
Pure, fresh, long red cherry and citrus zest nuances and red cherry aromas; very feminine. Densely textured palate with emerging aromas of bitter chocolate and mushroom. Drinking Window 2018 - 2040

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 91 Points (2010)
A big, dark wine, the 2010 Barolo Bussia wraps around the palate with notable depth and richness. Sweet tobacco, earthiness, mint, licorice, anise and leather are some of the notes that emerge from expressive, nuanced Barolo. There is good depth in the glass, even if the Bussia lacks the freshness to age gracefully for the long-term. I would give the 2010 a few years for the tannins to soften, but overall, this is a medium-term Barolo.
