Robert Parker (RP) : 93 Points (2020)
The Ornellaia 2020 Bolgheri Rosso Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia (a proprietary blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is a generous and darkly toned red blend that has the extra fruit fiber, sweetness and generous plumpness of a warm vintage. The fullness of the fruit is on full display, but in a very relaxed and natural manner. The wine never feels like too much. The tannins are yielding and velvety, and this purebred Tuscan red wraps thickly over the palate. It's poised for near- and medium-term drinking.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 92 Points (2020)
This muscular red is saturated with cherry, plum, vanilla and earth flavors. As solid and sinewy as the tannic structure is, the fruit matches it step by step on the long finish.

Wines & Spirits (W&S) : 94 Points (2019)
The 2019 Le Serre Nuove’s dark fruit flavors are juicy and vibrant, framed by velvety tannins and enlivened by notes of warm spice. The plum and blackberry flavors maintain freshness and verve after the second day, gaining intensity and depth as the wine reveals layers of fresh tobacco and soft licorice.

Jeb Dunnuck (JD) : 92 Points (2019)
The 2019 Le Serre Nuove Dell'Ornellaia is 54% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot. It has more pyrazines that I suspect will evolve into more cedar and herbal notes with bottle age, but it has beautiful darker berry fruits, nicely integrated oak, notes of resinous herbs, coffee, and loamy soil, and terrific balance. The tannins are certainly present, and this is just a young, unevolved yet still beautiful red that's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for a decade.Rating: 92+

James Suckling (JS) : 96 Points (2018)
Really beautiful second wine from Ornellaia with blackcurrant and blueberry aromas and flavors. Full body and round, soft tannins that caress the palate. Range: 95-96

Decanter (DCT) : 93 Points (2018)
Crackling with personality, this has a lovely mix of dark chocolate shavings, liquorice, sweet cedar, raspberry, sage and Tuscan underbrush. Really one to savour, holds its grip through the palate and is juicy, nuanced and mouthwatering. A brilliant second wine, made mainly from the younger vines of Ornellaia. 17% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Aged in oak (25% new) for 15 months, with six months further ageing in bottle before release.Drinking Window 2023 - 2034

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 93 Points (2018)
The 2018 Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia is everything a second wine should be. Open-knit and silky, with impeccable balance and tons of sheer appeal, the 2018 is exquisite today. I would prefer to drink it on the early side in order to capture all of its freshness. In some vintages, Le Serre Nuove can be a bit imposing; in 2018 is all charm and seduction. (AG) (1/2021)

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 90 Points (2017)
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this opens with aromas of violet, tobacco and green peppercorn. The savory, youthfully tense palate offers black plum, licorice, toasted oak and mocha alongside finegrained tannins.
