Earning a listing for one of your wines at a Michelin-starred restaurant is a proud moment – so what must it be like to be featured by every single three Michelin-starred restaurant in France (that is 27 in total)? It’s an accolade that reflects the historic excellence and purist vision of F. E. Trimbach, unquestionably one of the great names of Alsace and a family business that can trace its origins all the way back to 1626. Thirteen generations later, the Trimbachs of 2014… Read more

A very shy nose just releases the most teasing hint of peach. The palate is utterly restrained: peach flavors are dry and brightened by lemon and have a wonderful lightness of touch. The finish is dry, clean and long. A very refreshing and clean-cut take on Gewurztraminer. (AK) (8/2017)

James Suckling (JS) : 92 Points (2015)
Lots of concrete and spices featuring cloves and dried apples. A dry, full-bodied palate with polished texture. Lovely fruit, too. Drink now. (12/2016)

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 90 Points (2015)
Good full yellow. The strongly floral nose also hints at smoky bacon and exotic fruits. Then almost austere and straightforward; a very strong saline bent frames the delicate tropical fruit and honeyed flavors. Tactile but also very pure on the long finish. Lovely, lighter-styled Gewürz. (ID) (3/2017)

Wine Spectator (WS) : 90 Points (2012)
Verbena and pine forest hints lace this dry, well-cut white, while smoky minerality underscores flavors of melon, dried apricot, pink grapefruit and beeswax. Spiced finish. Drink now through 2024.

Very attractive already, quite powerful nose. Full bodied wine with intensity, depth and beautiful mineral flavour. Rich, ripe acidity in the palate. Great personality and finesse. Full of charm already after nearly 4 years of bottle ageing.

This classic Pinot Blanc really encapsulates the Trimbach style: fermented completely dry, with a firm structure, lovely lemony fruit with lots of breadth, a minerally backbone and a truly elegant poise and balance.

One whiff of the Gewurztraminer Vendange Tardive and your sense of smell is instantly pervaded with ham hock, celery root, brown spices, mint and honey. Primary juices include rose petals and spice and a dusty botrytis character to follow. This is a lusciously sweet and complex wine.

In color, the wine is dark red. Its aroma expresses green pepper, dried fruits, and delicate notes of tobacco and smoke given by the oak aging. On the palate, its varietal strength is expressed. Its tannins are soft, velvety and sweet, revealing a tireless dedication from the vineyard to the bottle.

Antinori Guado al Tasso Matarocchio 2011
Antinori Guado al Tasso Matarocchio 2011

Il Matarocchio was inspired by the desire to create, at the Guado al Tasso estate, a wine that was the maximum expression both of a single grape variety and a single vineyard plot. Il Matarocchio was born precisely from one of these sites and is a wine of great elegance and depth, one which springs exclusively from its source of origin and from a remarkable vintage.
