Elegant deep red with black highlights in the glass, this wine oozes intense fruit notes such as blackberry, cherry & plum with sweet spivy hints.

The aromas are excellently combined with bitter chocolate & smooth toasted notes, coming from barrel ageing.Intense and well balanced, the tannins are delicate, smooth & well-rounded.

A long & elegant final with a great concentration of fruits.

The winery has been named after the "terraces" situated at different altitudes upon which the vines are grown. Within these unique microclimates, Terrazas de los Andes presents a range of wines that offer great fruit concentration and varietal character. Cheval des Andes is a balanced and elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot with important ageing potential as a collector´s wine. Read more

The nose is really lovely with currant and iodine aromas. Hints of raspberries, too. Medium to full body. Firm, silky tannins and a vivid finish. Delicious now, but can age. Drink or hold.

Based on fruit from its home base of Perdriel, with some help from Eugenio Bustos andParaje Altamira, this is a little wild and funky, with a hint of the farmyard, savoury tannins,blackcurrant sweetness and some supporting acidity. 2019-23. Alcohol: 13.2%

2016 was an unusually wet and cool vintage, and the 2016 Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon from Terrazas de los Ándes is fresher than normal. The Reserva range is fruit-driven, with a careful élevage in used barriques. It's intensely herbal and spicy, clearly varietal and transmits the coolness of the year. The palate is medium-bodied, with very fine tannins, good freshness and varietal flavors. 230,000 bottles produced.

A broad-textured red, with mocha notes to the roasted plum and dark cherry flavors. Dried mint and sage details show midpalate. The finish lingers with plenty of dark chocolate accents

Mar '14 - Stephen Tanzer - Bright, saturated ruby-red. Dark berries, black cherry, menthol, licorice and sexy oak spices on the subdued but complex nose (I might have guessed malbec). Intensely flavored, supple and fine-grained, with lovely inner-mouth lift and incipient complexity to its dark berry and spicecake flavors. Finishes with suave, broad tannins and refreshing peppery lift. This sophisticated cabernet is still very young.
