ntense, powerful and complex, this features heady aromas and flavors of toffee, marzipan, butterscotch and chocolate. Notes of mocha and French roast chime in as well, with a long, glorious finish of dried white fruits and spice. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 94 Points (NV)
A gorgeous Port at that right stage where there is still freshness and hints of orange and dried fruits, while the wood aging is concentrating the wine into its essence. It is rich, full, yet at the same time has a great tang of spirit and acidity.

Robert Parker (RP) : 92 Points (NV)
The NV 20 Year Old Tawny was bottled with a bar top cork in 2013. It comes in at 111.6 grams per liter of residual sugar. A big mouthful, this is a 20 that first coats the palate and then ends with silky texture and concentrated flavor. Very graceful, it is not as impressive in terms of mid-palate density, but it is more than respectable. It shows fine complexity, appropriate to its age category. The finish seals the deal, more lingering and gripping than I expected from the first taste. It is another delicious Tawny from the Taylor Fladgate group this issue, so dig in. All of the Tawnies here have bar top corks. What that typically means is that they are ready to drink and not expected to be aged in the bottle. Barring cork failures, of course, Tawnies are very resistant and can be held a long, long time. They are certainly completely ready to drink now, though.

Bodegas Lan Rioja D12 2015
Bodegas Lan Rioja D12 2015
A homage to the workers of LAN, D12 is intense cherry red colour with violet hues. Aromas of red fruit and liquorice - characteristic of the Tempranillo variety – combine with cocoa, pastry and hints of floral notes such as violet. Tasty, round and silky on the palate, hints of liquorice and black pepper linger on the persistent finish.
