Colomé Estate Malbec is a blend of grapes from four different vineyards on four different elevations:
- The Malbec from 1.700 metres gives notes of ripe red fruit and rich and round tannins.
- The one from 2.300 metres is the most complex with red and black fruit, spice and a full body - it is the backbone of the blend.
- The Malbec from 2.600 metres is our secret weapon, giving black fruit and high-toned floral note, with high levels of freshness and tannin structure.
- Finally, the touch of Malbec from the highest vineyard in the world, at 3.111 metres, gives a lot of elegance to the wine - floral and mineral notes with very fine grained tannins.
This produces a very complex and concentrated wine, extremely layered but round and drinkable in the same time.
Tasting Notes: Deep bright red with a magenta hue. Aromas of black and red fruits including blackberries, blackcurrants, raspberries and cherries, with touches of violet floral notes and hints of spices and minerals. Fresh and fruity on the palate with muscular structure and round, velvety tannins. A fine, delicate yet lengthy finish.
