This is a classy, harmonious bottling made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. It's full of plump plum, black currant, mint, violet, tobacco and iodine flavors. The tannins are herbal, chalky and powerful, and the mouthfeel is silky. Drink now-2028.

The nose is all grenache-driven raspberry and blueberry with a gently herbal edge. The palate has a plush, smooth-honed and gently pithy red-fruit core that holds a fresh, refined finish. A blend of 72% grenache, 23% mataro and 5% shiraz.

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 91 Points (2018)

Deep ruby. Lively black raspberry and cherry preserve scents are sharpened by a spicy suggestion on cracked pepper. Silky and round on the palate, offering juicy red and blue fruit and spicecake flavors that show very good depth and appealing sweetness. Emphatically fruity in style, finishing with subtle tannic grip and resonating blue fruit character.

Supple and velvety, with wave after wave of pomegranate, kirsch and maraschino cherry flavors that have accents of red licorice, green tea and black walnut and lingering milk chocolate notes. Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz. Drink now through 2030.

The unoaked 2018 Cuvee Juveniles is a blend of 67% Grenache, 23% Mataro and 10% Shiraz. It's ripe and full, verging on jammy, with black cherry and black olive aromas and flavors, supple tannins and a mouthwatering finish.

Step back: this is how you do it. Licorice, raspberry, earth and dried spice notes are in cahoots with one another, the ambition simple: to provide pure drinking pleasure. The aroma, the mouthfeel, the flavour: it's all spot on. 85% grenache, 8% shiraz, 7% mataro.
