Wines & Spirits (W&S) : 90 Points (2020)
Eben Sadie blends this wine from a variety of sites, his 2020 juicy and broad-shouldered. This blend takes lift more from its zesty grape-skin tannins than from its acidity, amping up the pithy lime core. There’s an intriguing darkness in the finish that had one taster going to blonde-roast coffee and another to creamy caramel. 

Robert Parker (RP) : 95 Points (2019)
Delivering aromas of lemon oil, raw honeycomb, wax melon and underripe peach skin, the 2019 Palladius is gorgeous on the nose, with a delightful floral lift and dusty nuance. Medium-bodied on the palate, the wine offers notions of dusty honeysuckle, underripe peach skin and citrus blossom along with lovely mineral tension and a kiss of phenolic bitterness. This will remain food-friendly until its 20th birthday. Every time I try these wines, they never seem to fail to deliver pleasure. Absolutely stunning!

Wine Spectator (WS) : 93 Points (2019)
A graceful white, offering good focus and complexity without excessive weight. Presents a pleasing hint of waxiness that plays off the bright acidity, with notes of baked pear, lemon curd and graham cracker. Shows pretty accents of spring blossoms, ground ginger and fleur de sel on the lasting finish. Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, Viognier, Verdelho, Roussanne, Marsanne and Colombard. Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 94 Points (2018)
The 2018 Palladius is a blend of 12 grape varieties, whole-cluster-pressed and matured in clay and concrete amphorae. Only Eben Sadie can take a gallimaufry of grape varieties and create a wine of this caliber. It has a clean, pure bouquet of wax resin, pine needles, greengage plum and light chamomile scents that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is bright and vivacious on the entry and displays a wonderful waxy texture; peach skin, hazelnut and saline notes appear toward the finish. It's all about the umami.

Tim Atkin (TA) : 96 Points (2016)
Eben Sadie rates this white blend as the best of his current releases. Made with ten different cultivars and dipping below 14% alcohol for the first time, it’s an orchestra rather than a solo instrument. Elegant and refined, with no wood at all, this is an harmonious cuvée with beeswax, tarte tatin, orange zest and pear flavours. 2019-24.

Decanter (DCT) : 94 Points (2016)
This inspired wine is the product of 10 different varieties grown on three main soil types in the Paardeberg: granite, gravel & sandstone. The grapes are pressed and run off into clay amphorae & concrete eggs, where they are vinified and then aged for 12 months. The wine then spends another 12 months in old oak foudres. It creates a savoury, pithy, waxy and saline blend, with vibrant acidity and great balance. There's some textural grip to the green apple, honey and pink grapefruit palate. A beautiful wine, a blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Colombar, Palomino, Semillon, Roussanne, Verdelho, Clairette Blanche and Viognier.

Jancis Robinson (JR) : 18.5 Points (2013)
Honeyed, creamy nose that gives the impression of satin-smooth texture somehow. A totally flattering and intriguing wine that is clean as a whistle and would stand up to any fine white wine.
