Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 94 Points (2019)
This wine is lovely in juicy red fruit, dried herb and hints of allspice, the tannin structure firm and giving. Offering refinement and structure, it shows nuances of black currant, cherry and toasted oak. This will do well in the cellar.Cellar Selection

James Suckling (JS) : 94 Points (2019)
Blackberry and light dried fruit with oyster-shell undertones. It’s full-bodied with round, lightly chewy tannins that nicely accentuate the fruit character. Walnuts and wet earth.

Robert Parker (RP) : 93 Points (2019)
It rolls effortlessly out of the glass with beautifully pure notes of fresh black plums, black cherries and crushed blackcurrants plus hints of cinnamon stick, tobacco leaf and charcoal. Medium to full-bodied, the palate hits the ground running with expressive black fruits and soft, supple tannins, lifted by just enough freshness and finishing pleasantly savory. Range: 91-93

Jeb Dunnuck (JD) : 93 Points (2019)
A year-in, year-out winner, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley should easily be an outstanding wine capable of evolving for two decades or so. Deep ruby/purple, with classy notes of cassis, blackberries, green tobacco, cedary herbs, and flowers, it's medium to full-bodied and has a wonderfully elegant, seamless texture, supple tannins, and outstanding length.Range: 91-93

Wine Spectator (WS) : 92 Points (2019)
Dark, with a flicker of charcoal weaving amid steeped plum, loganberry, black currant and boysenberry fruit flavors. Features flashes of sweet bay leaf and licorice root that underline the briary finish, which has good energy.

Wines & Spirits (W&S) : 91 Points (2019)
Floral cherry and currant flavors burst from this wine’s tannins, which feel chewy, tight-ening around the fruit with their musky and smoky notes. Give it time for the fruit to fully emerge from the tannins, or coax it out with lamb burgers.

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 93 Points (2018)
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is bright, punchy and full of energy. Sweet red berry, mocha, licorice, spice, menthol and a kiss of new French oak all grace the 2018. Plummy and pliant, the 2018 will drink well right out of the gate, but it has the pedigree to develop nicely for a number of years. Most of this fruit is sourced from vineyards in the southern end of the valley. Drinking window: 2023 - 2033

Connoisseurs' Guide (CG) : 90 Points (2018)
Marked by very careful making as much as it is by the deep and incisive, blackcurrant fruit of authentic Cabernet Sauvignon with a discreet complement of neatly placed oak lending a boost in overall richness without ever challenging that fruit, this balanced, moderately full-bodied wine stays in frame from beginning to end with integrated tannins providing a nice, not overbearing, bit of ageworthy grip. Expect a fairly long life, a good ten years without fail, but its already evident polish suggests that it will be hard to resist in half that time.

Decanter (DCT) : 94 Points (2017)
Packed with both charm and character with a powerfully spicy punch. Clear espresso flavours alongside mocha, grilled sarments, cassis and smoked bilberries. There are confident, ripped tannins also showing a muscular structure that is going to go the distance. Blend completed with 1% Cabernet Franc, aged in 48% new oak. Second vintage on the Place. Drinking Window 2022 - 2038
