Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 96 Points (2018)
This is a downright beautiful, textured and highly focused expression of Riesling. The nose is more open and fruit forward than the previous vintage, bursting with freshly sliced lime, guava, flowers and streaks of stony minerals. The palate is bone dry, slippery and fresh, with bright limey fruit and an endlessly long mouthwatering finish. Drink now–2039.

Wine Spectator (WS) : 90 Points (2018)
Intense and crisp grapefruit and lime flavors show touches of lemongrass and fresh ginger, set on a light frame, with crunchy acidity and a hint of lanolin on the finish.

James Halliday (JH) : 98 Points (2017)
This is a ravishing riesling of the highest order, X-factor multiplied. Throw up any part (flesh, juice, skin, pith) of lime or lemons of any kind, add ethereal acidity and marvel at the elegance and length of the palate. Jeffrey Grosset is the undisputed king of the Clare Valley.

Robert Parker (RP) : 94 Points (2017)
One of Australia's iconic Rieslings, the 2017 Polish Hill Riesling looks to be another terrific success. Youthful notes of petrichor and crushed stones surround a core of lemon and lime on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is an impenetrably tight skein of wiry citrus flavors. Now and again, a glimpse of green apple or underripe peach pokes out, just to be reeled in and put in place by lime tendrils, which form almost endless curls on the finish.

Wines & Spirits (W&S) : 93 Points (2017)
Jeffrey Grosset has been making wine from what he calls the “hard rock soils” of Polish Hill since 1981, and now farms 20 acres of riesling there, tended organically from the start. His 2017 takes the austerity typical of the wine from this site to a new level, filling the mouth with lithe flavors of white cherry and bone-dry lemon before their weight seems to evaporate, leaving all the aroma in its wake. It lasts, imprinting each breath with mineral salts, nori and lime blossom scents. An archetype of Clare riesling, Polish Hill needs to develop for ten years from the vintage before it starts to show itself completely.

Stephen Tanzer (ST) : 96 Points (2016)
Polish Hill is infused with a purity and drive that elevate it above the Clare Valley Riesling plateau, and the 2016 delivers it in a tightly coiled lime and lemon, crunchy granny smith apple and a quintessential backbone of fine, slate-infused minerality. This is a vintage of precision and stamina, with a long future before it.

James Suckling (JS) : 95 Points (2016)
There's a lot to enjoy in this richly fruited, powerfully structured riesling. Peach, lime and slate on the nose, mouthwatering concentrated lime citrus on the palate, and terrific detail and length. Screw cap.

Jancis Robinson (JR) : 17.5 Points (2014)
Tasted Sept '14 - Actually a little softer than the Springvale at the moment. I’m sure this powdery wine will get there but it’s all over the place at the moment.
