A firm and focused pinot with light dried strawberries, rose petals and ash. Full to medium body, fine tannin structure and a precise finish. Better in a year or two. Try in 2016.

Tasted Nov 2013 - Pale ruby. Light and vegy nose - very refreshing. Transparent and gentle. Impressive freshness and good balance between fruit and acidity. Very light tannins. Much more convincing than the 2011. Lightly spicy. Very delicate. Aperitif style?

Vinous (Antonio Galloni) (VN) : 90 Points (2011)

Bright ruby-red. High-pitched scents of red fruits, potpourri and orange peel, with a note of cola adding depth. Juicy and precise, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that put on weight with air. A floral pastille note gives an appealing sweetness to the finish, which is framed by smooth, harmonious tannins.

Wine Enthusiast (WE) : 88 Points (2011)

This Pinot is spunky on the nose, with rubber, herb and lean red-fruit aromas. It keeps that lean profile on the palate, which is fresh and not the least bit thick, with raspberry and red cherry flavors. The finish is light and airy but fresh and honest. Drink now.

Robert Parker (RP) : 90 Points (2008)

The 2008 Pinot Noir Wild Ferment spent 9 months in 40% new French oak. Medium ruby red in color, it gives up a pleasant nose of earth notes, cherry blossom, cinnamon, black cherry, and raspberry. Velvety-textured with excellent depth and concentration, on the palate, this medium-bodied effort displays ample spicy red fruit, good grip, and a silky finish. It lacks only complexity but that could come with a few years of additional cellaring.
