Ce vin possède des arômes enrobants, propres aux plantes Méditerranéennes.

Des notes de fruits rouges mûrs se diffusent en abondance accompagnées de notes toastées et minérales, particulièrement raffinées.

En bouche, il présente une myriade de saveurs riches et extrêmement élégantes. Les notes épicées et le caractère toasté du chêne utilisé pour le vieillissement sont en parfaite harmonie. Voici l’apogée de l’expression du terroir du domaine de Ricasoli.

Ce vin est plein de promesse et se bonifiera avec le temps en développant des arômes complexes.

Il est vieilli en fûts de chêne pendant 18 mois.

This is very spicy with nutmeg, cloves and hints of hazelnuts that add complexity to the black-cherry and raspberry undertones. Full-bodied, rich and layered with a velvety texture and a flavorful finish. Beautiful center palate. Very powerful and structured. Hints of mushroom and balsamic in the aftertaste. Needs time to soften. Try after 2024.

2018 was a healthy vintage following a warm, dry summer. This Gran Selezione is youthful but already drinking well, its sweet core of ripe red and black cherries framed by integrated tannins and smooth acidity. Licks of spice, vanilla pod, wood, violets, herbs and tar lend complexity and potential for further improvement.

Vibrant black cherry and black currant flavors are the major themes in this red, shaded by earth, eucalyptus and resinous oak notes. A bit gruff on the finish now, but should come around nicely. Best from 2023 through 2032.

Iris, camphor and cedar aromas emerge from the glass. The medium bodied palate offers black plum, espresso and vanilla alongside polished tannins. It’s already accessible but also offers good midterm aging potential.

The 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello di Brolio is a beautiful wine, dense, rich and lasting. The bouquet is intense and profound with layers of red and purple fruit that cede softly to spice, leather and sweet tobacco. The classic 2016 vintage is characterized by its freshness, precision and cellar-worthiness. You get all those qualities here in one very elegant but also food-friendly package. The wine is made with 95% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and grapes come from a south-facing parcel at an ideal 250 to 450 meters above sea level.

This is a blend of sangiovese, with five percent each cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot, selected from the best parcels of this estate’s 560 acres. The wine’s ripe flavors of dark cherry and plum reflect the warmth of the 2015 vintage, its fruit tones enriched by subtle spice and loamy earth tones.

Persistent and finely-knit on the palate, the 2012 offers exceptional balance, with notable purity in its flavors. This is a decidedly mid-weight Chianti Classico, very much in the style of year, with expressive aromatics and nicely layered fruit, all expressed with restraint and finesse.
